Simply put, we clean rugs the same way they have been for centuries. In Asia and the Middle East, it's very common to see people hand scrubbing beautiful wool rugs in a river. The constant flow of cool, clear water is the best way to remove dust, dirt, and soil, and our process is designed to mimic this proven technique in a controlled environment.

Our Washing Process Includes:

Pre-inspection – This is the most important step in our cleaning process. Through detailed inspection of your rug's condition, dye stability, and construction materials, we'll be able to determine the best way to clean in properly.
Dry dusting – Believe it or not, a rug can hold 5 - 15 pounds of dust and dirt. This is one reason you can't effectively clean rugs at home. At our facility, your rug will be placed on a special perforated floor while a mechanical agitator shakes the dry soil from the fibers.
Cleaning – After the dusting, a cleaning solution is then applied (based on the construction material of the rug). The solution is agitated into the rug to lift odors, soils, and stains from the fibers.
Rinsing – The rinsing process is very important. We use cool, clear water through the surface and back of the rug until it is completely clear. This will ensure that no soapy residue remains and that your rug is completely clean.
Extraction – We extract as much water as possible from the rug using a special tool. We do this to make sure the rug dries quickly. By allowing the rug to remain wet, mold and dry rot will set.
Detailing – Using the proper solutions and techniques, we then clean fringes and other detailed areas of the rug.
Drying – Depending of the type of rug, it will either be laid flat or hung up to dry in our controlled drying environment. This step will ensure a rapid drying time.
Finishing – After your rug is dry, we will complete any finishing that's necessary. We will then wrap it, tag it, and then it's ready to go.
